Pilgrim of Light
This pilgrim is not called out of the world, but more deeply into it. His unique vantage point enables prophetic witness to the spiritual community and the world. He must LISTEN to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, attuning this listening through a life of deep meditation, prayer, silence, study, service, witness...and JOY!
Holy men and women through the ages serve as righteous examples of a whole LIFE lived in the present, the NOW. Jesus calls to walk with the anawim, those kept outside the boundaries, and welcome them with radical hospitality.
Quarere Deum!
Seek God! Our spiritual nature can express itself in places and ways that may not always be expected. All are invited to the wedding banquet and seeking the fully human, Christ, within these guests is part and parcel of the spiritual journey. Does this mean that we approve of all our brother or sister does, in his or her woundedness? No, but welcoming in LOVE can invite transformation by our getting out of the way, and allowing the ruach kadosh to flow. Deep spirituality, likewise, girds itself with hospitality, radical welcome. It is this same invitation extended to us in our brokeness, which is, in truth, our wholeness.

Walk gently on the Earth
Another form of listening is full awareness in the moment, in the NOW. In so doing, one can almost hear the voice of God flowing through nature, other people, now. This is why taking care of the earth is important. By living simply, the pilgrim uses only what is needed presently, giving back what is not.
