Taking care of ourselves

Ministry with the homeless can bring moments of great connection and joy, God moments, communion, but also sadness and the possibility of being overwhelmed, if one does not take time to be grounded in the Spirit.

In addition to our respective spiritual practices, we also try to walk a labyrinth at least once a month, taking time to go deep and surface.  It is a powerful cleansing and uplifting experience!  Each time is different.  It is a time to allow God to take care of us, giving whatever each needs at the time.
